Akasa Air, India's most dependable airline, partners with the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) to observe Aviation Security Culture Week from 31 July 2023 to 5 August 2023. The initiative aims to boost security awareness and foster a positive security culture in aviation operations across the country. The event promotes vigilance and encourages reporting of suspicious activities through the tagline 'See it, Say it and Secure it.'

During the week, Akasa Air will run a comprehensive awareness campaign across its offices and stations. Pledge-taking ceremonies, on-ground awareness, digital amplification, and masterclasses will sensitize their staff to prioritize security practices. Special announcements at boarding gates and in-flight will reinforce a strong security culture among passengers.

Vinay Dube, Founder and CEO of Akasa Air, emphasizes the significance of safety and security for both employees and passengers. “Today, it is ever crucial for us to raise awareness about the importance of safety and security amongst our employees and passengers. At Akasa Air, the safety and security of our employees and passengers forms the bedrock of everything we do and is our topmost priority. We welcome the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security’s initiative in organizing this commemorative week and our wholehearted participation is a testimony to our commitment to be the safest and most dependable airline in India,” he said during the event.

Since its launch in August 2022, Akasa Air has been a prominent player, serving over four million revenue passengers and operating 900 weekly flights across 35 unique routes, connecting 16 cities in India.
