Gurugram is set to experience the rich flavours and vibrant food culture of Punjab as Amritsar Di Galiyaan Food Festival arrives at Holiday Inn Gurugram Sector 90. Inspired by the lively food lanes of Amritsar, the festival offers a deep dive into the region’s time-honoured recipes, warm hospitality, and bold flavours.
Running from 27th February to 8th March, between 7:00 PM and 11:00 PM, the festival takes place at Viva All Day Dining, transforming evenings into a celebration of authentic Punjabi cuisine. Guests can expect an immersive dining experience that reflects the soul of Amritsar through traditional cooking styles and carefully preserved recipes.
Curated and presented by Executive Chef Prakash Yadav, the festival pays close attention to authenticity. To ensure the flavours remain true to their roots, Chef Prakash personally sourced select spices from Punjab, bringing the original aroma, depth, and character of Amritsar’s cuisine straight to the table. This thoughtful approach highlights his respect for culinary traditions and commitment to offering guests a genuine regional experience.
The menu features much-loved street-style favourites such as Aloo Tikki Chaat and Paani Puri, adding a familiar and nostalgic touch. Signature dishes including Sarson da Saag with Makki di Roti, Bhatti ka Murgh, Chole Bhature, Amritsari Kulche, and the classic Butter Chicken form the heart of the festival. The meal concludes with comforting Punjabi favourites like Punjabi Lassi, Rabri, and warm Doodh, leaving guests with a satisfying and memorable finish.
Chef Prakash Yadav, Executive Chef at Holiday Inn Gurugram Sector 90 added, "This festival is a tribute to the culinary heritage of Amritsar. From slow-cooked dals to flavourful tandoori specialities and traditional desserts, we have stayed true to authentic recipes and flavours, ensuring a memorable and genuinely Amritsari gastronomic experience for our diners."
Krishan Kumar, Food & Beverage Manager at Holiday Inn Gurugram Sector 90 said, "This festival is our way of bringing the warmth, spirit and vibrant culture of Punjab to life. We want every guest to feel the hospitality, energy, and heartfelt essence of the region's culinary and cultural heritage."
With its rich spread and inviting atmosphere, Amritsar Di Galiyaan Food Festival promises to turn every evening into a celebration that brings the true spirit of Amritsar alive in Gurugram.
