Museo Camera in Gurugram is set to welcome art enthusiasts this week as artist Aparneet Mann unveils her debut solo exhibition, ‘It’s a Jungle Out There.’ Running from March 20 to 23, 2025, the exhibition will be on view from 11 AM to 7 PM, curated by Pragati Agarwal, Director of Art Tree.
The exhibition brings to life the tension between nature and human development, using satire to depict the displacement of wildlife and the erosion of natural ecosystems. Aparneet’s artwork contrasts the untouched beauty of wildlife with the concrete jungles shaped by human ambition.
“My inspiration comes from years of travel where I witnessed how urbanization impacts nature globally,” shares Aparneet Mann. “My time at Shantiniketan deepened my connection with nature and shaped my understanding of how this imbalance is both dangerous and irreversible.”
A Chandigarh native, Aparneet has plans to take her exhibition overseas next year, with shows lined up for the US and Paris.
Sharing her excitement, Aparneet adds, “I’m thrilled to present my first solo exhibition at Museo Camera. I invite everyone who loves art and nature to explore this visual narrative and engage in the conversation about urbanization’s consequences.”
Alongside ‘It’s a Jungle Out There,’ visitors will also experience Aparneet’s ‘Divine Feminine’ series. This body of work redefines femininity, portraying women as powerful spiritual beings who transcend traditional roles. Here, women are seen as protectors of nature and catalysts for change, reinforcing the artist’s broader message of balance and renewal.
Aparneet’s debut promises an immersive journey into the challenges faced by the environment and the strength of feminine energy, making this exhibition a must-visit for art and nature lovers alike.
