Are you a book lover? Mark your calendars! The Kerala Literature Festival (KLF) is back, and it’s gearing up for an amazing edition in 2024. KLF is one of the most renowned literary festivals in the region, and this time, it’s going to be bigger and better.

The seventh edition of the Kerala Literature Festival is scheduled to take place from January 11 to 14, 2024. The beautiful beaches of Kozhikode in Kerala will set the stage for this grand literary celebration. The event will span four days and will feature a host of global speakers.

KLF 2024 promises to be a spectacular gathering of literary giants, with the participation of Nobel laureates, Booker Prize winners, renowned authors, media personalities, and even some celebrities. The festival is organized by the DC Kizhakemuri Foundation and co-promoted by DC Books, and it’s under the guidance of the esteemed writer Prof. K Satchidanandan, who serves as the Festival Director.

Kozhikode, the chosen venue for the Kerala Literature Festival, is no ordinary city. It has been bestowed with the title of ‘City of Literature’ by the Unesco Creative Cities Network (UCCN), a unique honor for an Indian city.

This edition of the festival will have a distinct international flavor, with Turkey as the guest country of honor. Turkey will showcase its literature and art forms, providing a unique cultural experience. But Turkey isn’t the only country in the spotlight. The UK, Wales, Spain, Japan, USA, Malaysia, Spain, and France are among the other participating nations, making this a truly global literary event.

The initial lineup of speakers is impressive, to say the least. It includes renowned figures like Arundhati Roy, Mallika Sarabhai, Shashi Tharoor, Piyush Pandey, Prahlad Kakkar, William Dalrymple, Gurucharan Das, Mani Shankar Aiyer, Catherine Ann Jones, Monika Halan, Durjoy Dutta, Manu S Pillai. The Festival will also host captivating concerts, featuring TM Krishna and Vikku Vinayakram, along with a Surbahar and Sitar concert by Padmabhushan Pandit Budhaditya Mukherjee.

The sessions at KLF will delve into a wide array of topics, ranging from Science & Technology, History & Politics, Environment, Literature, Business & Entrepreneurship, Health, Art, Cinema, Theatre, Music & Leisure, Travel & Tourism, Gender, Economy, and various facets that shape human consciousness.
