Atmosphere Kanifushi Maldives is set to bring flavour and flair to the table as its signature Just Veg Festival celebrates five years this October. Far from ordinary salads or predictable menus, the event has become a stage for plant-based cuisine that excites, surprises, and delights.
From 3rd to 9th October 2025, guests will experience a limited-edition ‘Just Veg Festive’ dinner menu crafted by celebrity Italian chef Fabrizio Marino. Known for transforming vegetables, fruits, and herbs into imaginative fine dining creations, the Tuscan chef has built a reputation for challenging norms while keeping dishes elegant, colourful, and memorable.
To complement the menu, wines from five distinguished partners will be served. Returning names include Champagne Guy Charbaut, Bodegas Viñátigo, Glenelly Estate, and Martín Códax, while this year welcomes Bottega SpA, Italy’s award-winning lifestyle winery. Alongside its acclaimed vintages, Bottega will also showcase three artisanal Grappas, adding an inventive twist to the culinary journey.
“Food should thrill you. It should challenge what you think you know,” said Chef Fabrizio. “It is a privilege to share my culinary philosophy in such a remarkable setting. That’s why I keep coming back to Just Veg Festival, because here at Atmosphere Kanifushi we can experiment, surprise, and create something worth remembering”.
Since its debut, the Just Veg Festival has grown from a novel idea into a much-loved annual highlight on the international food calendar. Guests return year after year for the combination of bold gastronomy, heartfelt hospitality, and the unique setting of the Maldives.
Adding his perspective, Mr. Raman Gomathi, Director of Food and Beverage, Atmosphere Kanifushi, said, “Plant-based dining can support a healthy lifestyle and, most importantly, be rich and flavourful when crafted with imagination and care”.
The festival underscores that the Maldives offers more than postcard-perfect beaches, it’s also a rising destination for gourmet experiences. With Atmosphere Kanifushi at the forefront, the resort continues to champion creativity in plant-based cuisine while giving guests a chance to enjoy unforgettable evenings of flavour and celebration
