Overview

InAzia at Sheraton Grand Whitefield Bengaluru Hotel and Convention Center is set to host “Bangkok After Dark,” a seven-day culinary experience celebrating the personal culinary journey and Southern Thai roots of Chef Rungtiwa Solre.

Taking place from 5 to 11 September 2026, the dining experience will invite guests to explore a menu drawn entirely from Chef Rungtiwa's personal repertoire, shaped by the flavours, traditions and memories of her childhood.

Chef Rungtiwa's culinary journey began in her family's kitchen, where she learned alongside her mother while growing up. She would help prepare meals after school and recreate her father's favourite dishes whenever he returned from abroad.

Her culinary identity was further shaped during summers spent with her grandmother, where she discovered the robust flavours of Southern Thailand, including its distinctive use of black pepper and deeply rooted regional cooking traditions.

These early experiences continue to influence Chef Rungtiwa's approach to Thai cuisine, with family, heritage and authentic flavours forming an important part of her cooking.

At Bangkok After Dark, these memories come together through a menu that moves across a range of Thai flavours and preparations.

The experience begins with dishes including Thai Green Mango Salad and Wang Lang-inspired Sweet Corn, followed by more intense preparations such as Crying Tiger Tenderloin, Charcoal-Grilled Thai Chicken and Salt and Pepper-Fried Prawns.

The mains draw particularly from Chef Rungtiwa's Southern Thai roots, featuring Green Eggplant with Thai Chilli Paste, Steamed Sea Bass with Spicy Lemon Chilli, and Wok-Tossed Tenderloin with Ginger and Wood Ear Mushrooms.

The experience concludes with Khanom Bueang, a traditional Thai sweet that brings the menu to a close.

More than a showcase of Thai cuisine, Bangkok After Dark offers guests an opportunity to experience food connected to Chef Rungtiwa's personal story. Each dish reflects the flavours and culinary memories that have shaped her understanding of Thai cooking.

With the menu available for seven evenings only, the experience offers Bengaluru diners an opportunity to explore a personal expression of Thai cuisine through the chef's repertoire.
