Barbeque Nation at Sayaji Kolhapur is set to transport diners to the royal kitchens of Lucknow with Chakhlo Zaika, a specially curated Lucknowi food festival celebrating the flavours and finesse of Awadhi cuisine. Scheduled from January 16 to January 25, 2026, the festival will be available during dinner hours and pays tribute to the rich culinary legacy shaped under the patronage of the Nawabs of Awadh.

Rooted in slow cooking, subtle spices, and refined techniques, Awadhi cuisine is known for its elegance and balance. Chakhlo Zaika brings these traditions to life through a thoughtfully designed dining experience that blends authentic flavours with a regal setting. Enhancing the ambience is a themed décor concept titled Savouring the Royal Flavours of Awadh, featuring a grand entry arch, adorned passages, and artistic cut-outs inspired by iconic Lucknow landmarks such as Bara Imambara, Rumi Darwaza, and Chota Imambara.

The festival menu showcases a spread of classic Awadhi dishes, allowing guests to savour favourites such as Galouti Kebabs, Kakori Kebabs, Lucknowi Dum Biryani, and slow-cooked Nihari. The experience concludes on a traditional sweet note with desserts like Shahi Tukda and Sheer Khurma, alongside other regional specialties that reflect the richness of Lucknow’s culinary heritage.

Speaking about the festival, Mukesh Rakshit, General Manager, Sayaji Kolhapur, said, “At Barbeque Nation, we constantly strive to curate unique dining experiences for our guests.
