Marking the spirit of Chithirai Tamizh Puthandu, ITC Grand Chola is hosting a festive brunch experience at Madras Pavilion, bringing together tradition, flavour, and togetherness. Designed as a special edition of Brunch-a-licious, the celebration highlights the richness of Tamil Nadu’s culinary heritage with a thoughtfully curated spread.
The experience begins with a comforting serving of Puliyakai Rasam, known for its tangy and spiced flavours. The starters bring in a sense of nostalgia with dishes like Pazha Bonda, crispy banana fritters served warm with milk, Seeralam made with steamed lentils and spices, and Yera Varuval, featuring prawns fried in a bold red masala.
Moving into the main course, the menu features a mix of classic regional preparations. Guests can enjoy Kathirakai, Murungakkai and Vendakkai Sambar, along with Pulicha Keerai Paruppu Curry paired with Kovakai Poriyal. Other highlights include Vazhaipoo Kulambu, Kalan Cholam Saadam made with mushrooms and seeraga samba rice, and the flavourful Nagoor Mutton Biryani. Adding to the spread are Yurulai Mutton Chop Masala and Manga Meen Kulambu, bringing bold and authentic Tamil flavours to the table.
The meal concludes with traditional desserts such as Elaneer Payasam and Badam Halwa, offering a sweet and comforting finish. Guests can also enjoy refreshing mocktails like Jigarthanda and Nannari Fizz, adding a cooling touch to the festive experience.
Planned as a warm and celebratory gathering, the brunch offers a perfect setting to welcome the Tamil New Year with family and friends, while enjoying a menu rooted in heritage and local flavours.
