Bordeaux-based Cellar 33 is strengthening its presence in India with a portfolio of more than 70 international wine and spirits producers from over 10 countries, marking significant growth since it first presented 21 producers at ProWine Mumbai in 2023.
The export and marketing agency and consultancy will present its largest-ever international wine and spirits showcase at ProWine Mumbai 2026, scheduled for 18–19 November at the Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai. The programme will bring together international producers, Indian importers, hospitality professionals and trade partners through curated tastings, masterclasses and industry discussions.
Founded in 2023 by Amrita Singh and Mattia Antonio Cianca, Cellar 33 focuses on connecting international wine, Champagne and spirits producers with the Indian market. Its participation in Indian trade events has expanded steadily, from 21 producers across six countries in 2023 to 25 producers and 42 wine references in 2024. In 2025, the showcase featured more than 35 producers and 65 wine references, including a collection of South African wines.
The agency's expansion has also translated into commercial opportunities. Following ProWine Mumbai 2024, Cellar 33 secured import agreements for 12 participating producers through two Indian importers. Its 2025 engagement subsequently facilitated import arrangements for seven South African wine producers, helping them establish routes into the Indian market.
Amrita Singh, Co-Founder of Cellar 33, said the growth from 21 producers in 2023 to more than 70 in 2026 reflects the confidence of international partners and the opportunities the agency sees in India. She added that the focus remains on building sustainable commercial relationships, widening market access and bringing a broader range of international wine and spirits to Indian consumers and businesses.
The November showcase will feature established international brands, family-owned estates, boutique wineries and independent producers, offering trade visitors an opportunity to explore products across different origins, styles and price segments.
A dedicated Champagne Bar will bring together established Champagne houses and independent growers. The experience will highlight different production approaches and Champagne styles, while exploring opportunities across luxury hospitality, destination weddings, private celebrations and premium gifting.
The International Spirits Corner will showcase producers from different countries, reflecting Cellar 33's growing portfolio beyond wine and Champagne. A dedicated Concours Mondial de Bruxelles (CMB) Corner will feature award-winning wines and spirits, introducing visitors to medal-winning products from multiple markets.
Professional education and knowledge exchange will form a key part of Cellar 33's participation at ProWine Mumbai 2026.
Champagne sessions will feature Pierre-Antoine Mairet, Export Director of Champagne Henriot, and Nicolas Revolte, owner of Champagne Gaston Revolte. French journalist Anne-Marie Chabbert will lead a Champagne education and growers' tasting session.
The programme will also feature international wine estates, including Germany's Weingut Robert Weil, Tuscany's Villa Saletta and Barolo producer Rocche dei Manzoni. Soil and terroir specialists Claude and Lydia Bourguignon, owners of Domaine Laroque d'Antan, will share their expertise on vineyard soils and terroir.
Karin Meriot, representing Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, will lead a tasting of award-winning wines and spirits, while Boland Cellars will present South African wines and their commercial potential.
A discussion with Sanjay Menon, Founder and Managing Director of Sonarys, will address Indian import regulations and market realities, offering international producers practical insights into distribution and market entry.
Beyond trade exhibitions, Cellar 33 provides export and market development support, international product sourcing, strategic consulting, private-label development and bespoke beverage solutions.
Its services extend to hotel groups, restaurants, luxury hospitality operators, event companies and entrepreneurs seeking to develop beverage portfolios or establish new business relationships. By combining international producer networks with an understanding of India's commercial and regulatory environment, the agency aims to help businesses identify suitable partners and build long-term opportunities.
Mattia Antonio Cianca, Co-Founder of Cellar 33, said India offers significant opportunities for international wine and spirits producers, while emphasising the importance of understanding distribution requirements, regulations and local business relationships. He added that the agency's participation at ProWine Mumbai is intended to encourage professional education, meaningful discussions and new commercial partnerships.
With its expanded portfolio, dedicated Champagne and spirits experiences, and expert-led programme, Cellar 33 is using ProWine Mumbai 2026 to deepen engagement between international producers and India's wine and spirits trade.
