Bringing the bold and aromatic flavours of Tamil Nadu to the city, Holiday Inn Bengaluru Racecourse is hosting a limited-period Chettinad Food Festival at its signature restaurant, Glass Kitchen & Bar. Scheduled from April 17 to May 3, the festival offers a deep dive into one of South India’s most distinctive culinary traditions.
Known for its layered spices and slow-cooked gravies, Chettinad cuisine takes centre stage with a curated menu that reflects its rich heritage. Guests can explore dishes such as Nenjuyellaumbu Saaru, Sundakai Vatha Kozhambu, Chettinadu Nandu Masala, and Kauni Arisi Pongal, each crafted to balance authenticity with a refined, contemporary touch.
The festival builds on the restaurant’s evolving culinary direction, extending beyond its coastal focus to spotlight another iconic regional cuisine. Diners can further enhance their experience with a selection of soups, desserts, and accompaniments designed to complement the bold flavours of the menu.
Sharing his perspective, Executive Chef Ajit Tiwari highlighted that the festival aims to present Chettinad cuisine through a modern lens while staying true to its traditional techniques and depth of flavour. He noted that the approach aligns with the restaurant’s ingredient-led philosophy and its evolving culinary narrative.
Recently relaunched with its ‘A Coast Apart’ concept, Glass Kitchen & Bar continues to blend regional authenticity with contemporary presentation. Inspired by the southern coastline, the space brings together seasonal ingredients, traditional methods, and a refined dining atmosphere, making it an ideal setting for such curated showcases.
Whether you are a fan of regional Indian cuisine or looking to explore bold, layered flavours, this festival offers a distinctive dining experience rooted in tradition yet presented with a modern sensibility.
