Crowne Plaza New Delhi Mayur Vihar is set to bring the essence of Delhi’s culinary heritage to life with ‘Zaiqa-e-Dilli’, a food festival celebrating the city’s most iconic street flavors. Hosted at Infinity, the hotel’s signature dining venue, this festival promises a nostalgic journey through the capital’s vibrant food culture, featuring legendary dishes from across Delhi.
This year’s theme, ‘Khat – A Culinary Love Letter to Dilwalo Ki Dilli,’ reflects the deep connection between Delhiites and their beloved street food. Every dish tells a story, evoking memories of bustling markets, rich traditions, and the city’s unique flavors.
For the second season of ‘Zaiqa-e-Dilli,’ Executive Chef Roushan Sharma and his team partnered with Namastey Culture to embark on a culinary treasure hunt across the city. From Jama Masjid to Daryaganj, Connaught Place to Lajpat Nagar, they traced the origins of Delhi’s most cherished street food. The result? A carefully curated buffet that brings together the best of the capital’s street eats, from Aslam’s Butter Chicken to Kuremal’s Kulfi, Jain Fruit Sandwich, and Lotan Ke Chole Kulche.
"Food in Delhi is not just a dish—it’s an emotion. It’s a bond, a tradition, and a celebration of the city. Through ‘Zaiqa-e-Dilli,’ we’re recreating the magic of Delhi’s streets, offering guests an unforgettable culinary experience," says Executive Chef Roushan Sharma.
The festival will feature over 100 legendary dishes in a cyclic buffet menu, with some prepared by the original vendors themselves. Guests can indulge in: Lotan Ke Chole Kulche & Sanjay Kumar Daulat Ki Chaat – Straight from the original makers Chandni Chowk’s Paranthe Wali Gali – Authentic stuffed parathas Rajma Chawal from Connaught Place & Ram Ladoo from Lajpat Nagar Jama Masjid’s Chicken Changezi & Karol Bagh’s Kebabs Momos from Majnu Ka Tila & Chole Bhature from Rajouri Garden
Adding to the experience, live street food hawkers will serve Bunta, Chuski, Bhel Puri, and ice creams, bringing the true flavors of Delhi’s lanes into the luxurious setting of Infinity.
"Building on the tremendous success of last year’s Zaiqa-e-Dilli, we are excited to elevate this celebration of Delhi’s culinary heritage. This festival is more than just food—it’s an immersive journey that connects our guests to the soul of the city," says Pankaj Gupta, Area General Manager – IHG Southwest Asia & General Manager – Crowne Plaza New Delhi Mayur Vihar.
Dates: 17th February to 2nd March 2025 Timings: 7 PM – 11 PM (Dinner) Venue: Infinity, Crowne Plaza New Delhi Mayur Vihar
For food lovers, ‘Zaiqa-e-Dilli’ is an unmissable opportunity to relive the nostalgia of Delhi’s vibrant food culture, all within the elegant ambiance of Crowne Plaza Mayur Vihar.
