Ekaa is set to return to Bengaluru this August, bringing its progressive approach to Indian cuisine to Zarf at Sheraton Grand Bengaluru Whitefield Hotel & Convention Center for a two-day culinary experience led by Chef Niyati Rao.
Taking place on August 21 and 22, 2026, the experience will explore Indian cuisine through regional flavours, seasonal ingredients, fermentation and contemporary culinary techniques. Ekaa's approach allows familiar ingredients and traditional influences to take unexpected forms while retaining their connection to India's diverse culinary heritage.
The tasting menu moves across textures, flavours and regions, beginning with Tomato Tomato, which brings together heirloom tomatoes, kokum agad and sourdough. Achappam follows, with distinct interpretations for the vegetarian and non-vegetarian menus.
One of the highlights is Ekaa's Signature 100% Hydration Bread, served with brown onion cultured butter and lacto-charred thecha. The preparation reflects the restaurant's focus on technique, fermentation and detailed ingredient-driven cooking.
Marathawada brings together four-grain porridge, Kardhanya, Potato Thoy and Sasam, with separate vegetarian and non-vegetarian interpretations. Chuski provides a refreshing seasonal interlude before the menu concludes with Risalamande, featuring sweet wine, pandan rice gelato and Zereskh berries.
The culinary experience will also feature a selection of cocktails curated specifically for the occasion. The menu includes Kapur Kachri, combining the aromatic character of kapur kachri with kiwi and citrus; Mountain Pepper, pairing the heat of mountain pepper with the herbal notes of naga basil; and Triphala, balancing triphala with tart roselle, coffee bitterness and citrus.
Hosted at Zarf, known for its contemporary interpretation of Indian cuisine, the collaboration brings together two culinary approaches that place regional ingredients and modern techniques at the centre of the dining experience.
The two-day event offers diners an opportunity to explore Ekaa's distinctive culinary philosophy through a carefully structured tasting menu and cocktail pairing experience in Bengaluru.
