Overview

The vibrant city of Doha is set to host the much-anticipated Qatar Travel Mart (QTM) 2023 at the esteemed Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre. Boasting over 250 exhibitors from 60 countries, this three-day event, commencing Monday, promises to be a cornerstone in the landscape of global tourism.

QTM 2023 positions itself as a pivotal platform in Qatar's tourism industry, inviting attendees to delve into the burgeoning sectors of sports, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions), business, cultural, leisure, luxury, medical, and halal tourism. As the second edition unfolds, it is expected to play a crucial role in shaping the post-FIFA World Cup 2022 tourism landscape.

Aligned with its theme, 'Discover Places, People, and Cultures,' QTM 2023 is not just an exhibition; it's a collaborative forum. Industry professionals are invited to enrich their knowledge, forge connections, celebrate excellence, and engage with international leaders and decision-makers in the travel and tourism sector.

The three-day conference, a significant feature of the event, boasts a lineup of experts and industry leaders. With the likes of Professor Muzaffer Uysal from the University of Massachusetts, Tom Jenkins, CEO of European Tourism Association (ETOA), Chris Flynn, chairman and founder of World Tourism Association for Culture & Heritage (WTACH), and Djibril Fofana, president counsellor, World Association for Hospitality & Tourism Education Training (AMFORHT), the conference promises to be an enriching experience.

Attendees are in for a treat with the Qatar Travel Mart's Global Village. This immersive experience allows participants to embark on a captivating journey around the world, all from a single destination. With 25 international embassies offering a delightful blend of education and entertainment, featuring mesmerizing cultural performances and experiences, the Global Village is set to be a highlight.

The grand gala dinner scheduled for Tuesday will shine a spotlight on exhibitors who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to enhancing attendee experiences. Awards will be presented in various categories, recognizing achievements such as Most Accessible Booth, Innovation Excellence Booth, Best Sustainability Champion Booth, Transport Excellence Booth, and Best Designed Stand.

For the first time, exhibitors can also seize the opportunity to participate in the QTM Golf Day event on the final day. Set at the picturesque Education City Golf Course, it offers a perfect blend of business and leisure.
