The Federation of Hotel & Restaurant Associations of India (FHRAI) has announced the 55th edition of its Annual Convention, set to take place in Bengaluru from September 18 to 20, 2025.
This year’s convention is themed “FutureScape 2047, Redefining Hospitality for a New India” and aims to spark dialogue on how the hospitality and tourism industry can evolve as India approaches its centenary year of independence.
K. Syama Raju, president of FHRAI, highlighted the significance of the gathering, “The 55th Annual Convention is a milestone moment for the Indian hospitality industry. Through the theme ‘FutureScape 2047,’ we aim to spark conversations that will shape the roadmap for the next two decades. Bengaluru, with its vibrant culture and global outlook, is the ideal setting for this dialogue on innovation, sustainability, and growth.”
The inaugural ceremony on September 18 will feature a distinguished line-up of guests, including Siddaramaiah, chief minister of Karnataka, as the chief guest, with Rajnath Singh, defence minister of India, delivering a special address. Other dignitaries will include D.K. Shivakumar, deputy chief minister of Karnataka, K Ram Mohan Naidu, minister of civil aviation; A. Revanth Reddy, chief minister of Telangana; and Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, tourism minister, Government of India.
Across its three days, the convention will explore a wide spectrum of themes shaping the industry’s future. Discussions will focus on building iconic Indian hospitality brands with global resonance, reimagining spiritual tourism, and unlocking India’s potential as a trillion-dollar experience economy. Sessions will also examine strategies to expand hospitality in tier 2 and tier 3 cities, redefine revenue management, and embrace technological innovations. Other critical areas of focus include promoting sustainable hospitality practices, strengthening India’s culinary identity, and addressing the growing importance of cybersecurity in a connected world.
The convention will conclude with the FHRAI Hospitality Awards and a valedictory address by V. Vidyavathi, IAS, secretary tourism, Government of India.
The Bengaluru convention is expected to bring together top minds from hospitality, tourism, government, and allied industries, reaffirming FHRAI’s role as a platform for dialogue, policy shaping, and industry growth.
