Overview

Four Seasons Hotel Bengaluru is set to welcome a transformative wellness experience with the arrival of Hurssh Verma, India’s first Shaolin Warrior Monk, for a special residency from January 29 to February 2, 2026. Designed around the philosophy of “stillness as strength,” the residency offers guests a rare opportunity to reconnect with balance, clarity, and inner resilience through ancient Shaolin practices adapted for contemporary living.

At a time when digital overload and high-pressure lifestyles dominate daily routines, Hurssh Verma introduces a subtractive approach to wellness. His philosophy moves away from excessive fitness trends, instead focusing on removing mental and physical fatigue to uncover a natural state of calm focus and internal order.

The residency is built around three core Shaolin disciplines. Flow-based Tai Chi sessions guide participants through meditative movement, emphasising alignment, balance, and the circulation of internal energy, or Qi. Traditional Shaolin breathwork techniques are designed to regulate the nervous system, helping the body shift from stress-driven responses to a state of deep presence. Warrior Meditation sessions focus on cultivating inner resilience, enabling participants to navigate external pressures with composure and clarity.

Speaking on the collaboration, Dr. Ranjitha Alva, Director of Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Bengaluru, said the residency reflects the brand’s commitment to authenticity and meaningful wellness. She noted that the experience goes beyond movement, offering guests practical tools for mental and physical alignment rooted in centuries-old wisdom.

The five-day programme is designed for a diverse audience, including corporate leaders seeking sharper decision-making, creatives looking to restore focus, and luxury travellers in search of authentic personal transformation. Guests can participate in daily group immersions held in the serene surroundings of the hotel, with morning sessions from 8:00 am focused on awakening with intention, and evening sessions from 6:00 pm centred on restoration and realignment.

For those seeking a more personalised journey, Hurssh Verma is also available for exclusive one-on-one sessions. These private consultations allow for tailored breathwork and movement practices aligned with individual physical and mental goals.

Reservations for group immersions and private sessions can be made through Infuse Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Bengaluru.
