Four Seasons Hotel Bengaluru is bringing the flavours of Bengal and Karnataka together with special dining experiences at CUR8 to celebrate Durga Puja and Mysuru Dussehra in October 2026. The hotel will host Durga Puja dinners from October 17 to 19, followed by a special Mysuru Dussehra lunch on October 20, offering guests a chance to explore the food traditions of both regions.
Leading the celebrations is Chef Soham Dhar, Chef de Cuisine at CUR8. Originally from Kolkata, Chef Soham is known for his interest in regional Indian cuisine. For these festive occasions, he brings together traditional recipes and contemporary cooking to create menus that reflect the food culture of Bengal and Karnataka.
The Durga Puja dinner follows the theme "Kolkata on Your Plate", bringing the flavours of Kolkata's streets, community celebrations and home kitchens to the hotel. The menu features Bengali favourites such as Kosha Mangsho, Cholar Dal and Basanti Pulao.
Guests can also explore several dedicated food stations, including the Pandal Chaat Counter, Thakur Bari Rannaghor, a Kolkata Fish Fry Station and an interactive Bengali Grill Counter. Traditional seafood dishes such as Bhapa Ilish and Chingri Malai Curry add to the experience.
The dinner ends with a selection of Bengali sweets at the specially curated Sweet Alley. Guests can enjoy traditional favourites such as Rosogolla, Mishti Doi, Mihidana, Pantua and Kheer Kadam, celebrating Bengal's well-known sweet-making traditions.
The celebrations continue on October 20 with a special Mysuru Dussehra lunch inspired by the royal traditions of the Wodeyar dynasty and the festivities associated with Mysore Palace. The menu highlights Karnataka's regional cuisine, featuring Mylari Dosa, Benne Dosa, Bisi Bele Bhaat, Maddur Vada, Mangalore Buns and Bamboo Biryani.
Traditional sweets and desserts, including Obbattu, Chiroti and the iconic Mysore Pak, complete the festive spread. By bringing together Bengali specialities and Karnataka's regional favourites, Four Seasons Hotel Bengaluru aims to offer guests a dining experience that celebrates the cultural traditions of both states through food, interactive stations and regional flavours.
