Born in Shillong and celebrated across the country, Shad Skye has steadily earned its place on India’s 30 Best Bars list for its confident, flavour-first cocktails rooted in the indigenous ingredients of North East India. Known for its bold use of regional produce and thoughtful mixology, the bar has built a strong national identity while staying deeply connected to its origins.
For a special one-night-only takeover, Shad Skye brings its signature style to Daysie MG Road, Bengaluru. The bar will be led by Rishot Laloo, Head Mixologist at Shad Skye, who will present a cocktail menu drawn directly from the bar’s core playbook. The selection focuses on balance, layered flavours, and a clear expression of the ingredients that define the bar’s Shillong roots.
The cocktail lineup includes Tuaite, a layered blend of Absolut vodka with bamboo shoot, ginger, jasmine syrup, and supasawa, offering a delicate yet complex profile. Bitchi Sour brings together JW Blonde with bitchi, a fermented rice beer from Meghalaya, along with sohiong, lime, and magic velvet for a bold, regional twist. The menu also features 1820’s, a refreshing gin-based cocktail infused with Assam tea, citrus, and apple, and 793 Picante, a punchy mix of Patrón Reposado, bitchi, jalapeño, coriander, lime, and sugar syrup.
The takeover offers Bengaluru’s cocktail crowd a rare opportunity to experience one of India’s most talked-about bars without leaving the city, bringing flavours from the hills of the North East straight to the heart of Bengaluru for one night only.
