Overview

Bangalore is set to welcome a vibrant dose of Bangkok’s culinary creativity as FunkyTown collaborates with Muro for a two-night guest shift on November 29th and 30th, 2024. This exclusive event will bring together bold Thai-inspired flavors, innovative cocktails, and culinary expertise for an experience that promises to push boundaries.

The collaboration will feature Pae Ketumarn, the group head beverage manager of FunkyTown and Sarnies Thailand, alongside Earth Pirwkram, senior bartender, and Theo, group head chef of Sarnies Thailand. Together, they will introduce Bangalore to FunkyTown’s signature style, blending local ingredients with a unique “funk level” scale that guides guests through a spectrum of boldness and intensity.

Attendees can expect a curated selection of small bites and cocktails, each with a creative twist that reimagines traditional Thai flavors.

Bites: 

  • Scallop Crudo Tart: A refreshing starter with lemongrass and kaffir lime leaf for mild funk.
  • Mutton ‘Sai Oua’ Corn Dog: A spicy treat paired with fermented chili mayo.
  • Funky Smash Burger: A wagyu burger layered with unique condiments.
  • Beef Tartare Cone: Featuring Thai wagyu and lumpfish caviar for an elevated flavor.
  • Duck & Apple Snail Tsukune: Served with smoked egg yolk, offering deeper funk.

Signature Cocktails:

  • Thai Tea Tarik: V.S.O.P. cognac meets Thai tea and brown sugar boba for a playful drink.
  • Mango Martini: A tropical twist with lacto-fermented mango and pandan tea.
  • Winter Melon Collins: A bold cocktail featuring chicken fat-washed gin.
  • Durian Colada: A daring mix of white rum, durian cream, and jasmine rice essence.
  • Disco Shots: Salted plum gin and ginger ale for a fun finish.

Additional highlights include a Green Curry Cocktail infused with gin, a Som Tum Cocktail with shrimp-infused rum, and the Pâté Old-Fashioned, featuring duck pâté butter blended with bourbon.
