The Park Navi Mumbai is bringing the vibrant and soulful flavours of Gujarat to the city with Garvi Gujarat – Flavours of Tradition, a specially curated food festival that celebrates the rich culinary legacy of the western Indian state. Hosted at West1, the festival offers guests an opportunity to experience authentic Gujarati cuisine in all its regional diversity.
Garvi Gujarat draws inspiration from Surti, Kathiyawadi, Kutchi, and Coastal Gujarati food traditions. While Gujarati cuisine is widely known for its vegetarian dishes, the festival also showcases traditional non-vegetarian preparations, giving diners a rare chance to explore a lesser-known yet deeply rooted side of the region’s food culture.
The vegetarian spread features much-loved classics such as Undhiyu, Dal Dhokli, Gujarati Kadhi, Sev Tameta nu Shaak, Ringna no Olo, Bajra Rotla, and Thepla. Guests can also enjoy an assortment of traditional farsan including Khaman, Patra, and Methi Gota.
Adding depth to the menu are authentic non-vegetarian delicacies such as Surti-style Chicken Curry, Kathiyawadi Mutton Masala, Coastal Gujarati Fish Curry, and Gujarati-style Egg Curry, all prepared using traditional techniques and regional spices.
Enhancing the overall dining experience are live food counters, including Rotla and Thepla stations, along with a live farsan fry counter that brings an interactive element to the festival. Traditional beverages such as Masala Chaas, Kokum Sharbat, and Aam Panna complement the flavours, while classic Gujarati desserts like Shrikhand, Basundi, and Mohanthal provide a sweet conclusion to the meal.
With a strong focus on authenticity, regional variety, and live culinary experiences, Garvi Gujarat – Flavours of Tradition reflects The Park Navi Mumbai’s commitment to curating immersive and culturally rich food festivals for its guests.
