Golden Dragon at Taj Coromandel, Chennai, has unveiled a new culinary experience titled The Dim Sum & Bao Affair, bringing the rich flavours of Cantonese cuisine to the forefront this season. The specially curated menu is designed to recreate the charm of a lively Hong Kong tea house, offering guests a comforting and flavour-packed dining experience.
Known for its authentic Cantonese and Sichuan offerings, Golden Dragon has long been a preferred destination for gourmands in Chennai. With this new showcase, the restaurant highlights the artistry behind dim sums and baos, presenting them as a refined yet soulful culinary experience. Each dish is prepared with precision and served fresh, reflecting traditional Cantonese techniques.
The menu features a selection of handcrafted dim sums including Har Gow with its delicate translucent wrapper, classic Siu Mai, Crystal Chive Dumplings, and Truffle Edamame Dumplings for a modern touch. Alongside these are soft, steamed baos filled with a variety of rich flavours such as Char Siu Pork, Peking Duck with Hoisin, Crispy Chicken with Sriracha Mayo, and Pulled Jackfruit, offering something for both meat lovers and vegetarian diners.
Whether enjoyed as a relaxed lunch, an intimate dinner, or a shared evening meal, The Dim Sum & Bao Affair is designed to deliver a warm and memorable Cantonese dining experience. The menu focuses on small plates that encourage sharing while bringing out bold, comforting flavours in every bite.
The experience is available at Golden Dragon, Taj Coromandel, Chennai, until 25 May 2026, with service offered during lunch from 12:30 PM to 3:00 PM and dinner from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM as an à la carte selection.
