Hyatt Ahmedabad is bringing the flavours of the Levant to the city with “Passport to the Flavors of the Middle East”, a 10-day culinary showcase at Mrs. Mage from 14 to 23 August 2026.
The special menu has been created in collaboration with Syrah Restaurant at Hyatt Regency Delhi and will be helmed by Chef AbdulKarim Krdieh, who will travel to Ahmedabad to work alongside the Mrs. Mage culinary team.
The showcase draws inspiration from the cuisines of Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Palestine and southern Turkey, highlighting a culinary tradition known for fresh herbs, gentle spices, generous mezze spreads and dishes designed for sharing.
Guests can explore an assortment of mezze platters, refreshing salads and smoky grills, alongside specialities curated by Chef Karim. The menu will include dishes such as lamb chops, Samak Meshwi and Baklawa, bringing together savoury preparations and traditional Middle Eastern desserts.
Chef AbdulKarim Krdieh, who leads the kitchen at Syrah in Delhi, brings culinary experience rooted in Syrian traditions, combining family recipes with contemporary techniques. His presence in Ahmedabad will also provide an opportunity for the Mrs. Mage culinary team to engage directly with Levantine cooking techniques and recipes.
Speaking about the collaboration, Chef Najrul Beg, Executive Chef, Hyatt Ahmedabad, said that hosting Chef Karim would allow guests to experience authentic Levantine cooking while giving the hotel's culinary team an opportunity to learn from his expertise.
Gaurav Chandna, General Manager, Hyatt Ahmedabad, said the collaboration reflects Mrs. Mage's concept of taking diners on culinary journeys around the world without requiring them to leave Ahmedabad.
The “Passport to the Flavors of the Middle East” experience will be available throughout the day, offering diners an opportunity to explore the region's flavours in an immersive restaurant setting.
