Hyatt Centric Juhu Mumbai is celebrating Onam with a traditional Kerala Sadhya featuring 27 preparations at Sesame restaurant on August 22 and 23, 2026.

Rooted in Kerala's culinary traditions and the spirit of togetherness associated with the harvest festival, the festive experience brings guests together for an elaborate meal served on a traditional banana leaf.

The Sadhya begins with accompaniments including sharkara varatti, upperi, chakka chips, pappadam, manga achar and injipulli, followed by a selection of vegetable preparations and pachadis.

The spread features pineapple pachadi, beetroot pachadi, aviyal, cabbage thoran, beans mezhukkupuratti, pumpkin erissery, elephant yam kalan, olan and kootu curry, alongside a fragrant vegetable stew.

The main course brings together traditional Kerala staples including kuthari choru, sambar, parippu, rasam and moru kaichiyathu, creating the familiar balance of flavours and textures associated with a traditional Sadhya.

The meal concludes with three classic Kerala desserts: palada pradhaman, semiya payasam and parippu payasam, bringing together milk, cardamom and jaggery in different traditional preparations.

More than a festive meal, the Onam Sadhya is designed as an opportunity for guests to slow down and experience Kerala's culinary heritage through a shared dining experience. The traditional banana leaf presentation further reflects the way Sadhya has been enjoyed across generations.
