Ganesh Chaturthi brings Mumbai alive with festive cooking, colours, music and gatherings around the dining table. This season, Hyatt Centric Juhu Mumbai's Nitara is bringing that spirit to the table with The Festive Thali, a vegetarian dining experience that lets guests build their own thali.
Inspired by festive and fasting-appropriate flavours from across India, the menu focuses on ingredients and dishes associated with the season, including sabudana and kuttu. Instead of offering a fixed thali, guests can select their preferred dishes based on their taste, appetite and dietary needs.
Available from September 5 to September 30, 2026, The Festive Thali features seven categories from which guests can create their own combination.
For the main staple, diners can choose between samak pulao and sabudana khichdi, while the bread selection includes kuttu poori and ragi poori. The chaat options are falhari fruit chaat and makhane aur kaju ki chaat.
Guests can pick two curries from moongphali ki curry, gatte aur aam ki kadhi, sakarkand ki sabji and lauki ki sabji. The appetizer selection includes puneri aloo, arbi took, sabudana vada and banana tikki, with two options to choose from.
The meal also includes one chutney from a choice of four, one papad and one dessert, with sweet options ranging from kavuni arisi halwa to imarti. The menu also provides allergen information for every dish, including indicators for vegan, dairy, gluten, nut and sesame requirements, helping guests make choices based on their dietary needs.
The build-your-own format gives the traditional thali a more personal touch, allowing diners to combine familiar festive favourites or try a different selection each time. The experience is designed to bring together the generous and celebratory spirit of Ganesh Chaturthi while allowing guests to enjoy their meal at their own pace.
