Hyatt Centric MG Road Bangalore has unveiled “Shonar Bangla”, a four-day Bengali culinary festival designed to showcase the timeless flavors of Bengal. Running from 21st to 24th August, the pop-up invites food lovers to experience the warmth and authenticity of Bengali home-style cooking, right in the heart of Bengaluru.
“Shonar Bangla” brings together Bengal’s signature flavors—panch phoron (five-spice mix), mustard oil, and freshwater fish—along with an array of vegetarian classics that define the region’s culinary identity. Guests can choose between a lavish buffet or an à la carte selection of traditional favorites, making the experience both versatile and immersive.
The buffet spread offers an indulgent mix of non-vegetarian delicacies such as Kosha Mangsho, Bhapa Ilish, Chingri Malaikari, and Maacher Jhol, alongside vegetarian favorites like Aloo Posto, Shukto, Dhokar Dalna, and Mochar Ghonto. For those with a sweet tooth, the festival also serves beloved Bengali desserts including Rasgulla, Sandesh, and Mishti Doi, completing the cultural feast.
