Hyatt Regency Chennai is bringing the diverse flavours of regional Chinese cuisine to Stix with The Golden Wok – Taste the Best of Every Region, an à la carte culinary experience running from October 1 to 15, 2026.

The dining experience explores the distinct culinary identities of Canton, Sichuan and Hunan, while also introducing flavours from other regions of China through a selection of dishes, Chinese teas and infused spirits.

The menu moves from the delicate and refined character of Cantonese cuisine to the aromatic heat of Sichuan and the deeper, more robust flavours associated with Hunan cooking.

Exploring China's Regional Flavours

The Cantonese selection features Steamed Har Gow, showcasing the cuisine's emphasis on delicate textures and balanced flavours.

The menu then moves towards Sichuan with Sichuan Mala Seafood Soup, bringing together the region's characteristic heat and aromatic complexity.

For diners seeking the richer flavours of Hunan, Chairman Mao's Red-Braised Pork offers a take on one of the region's best-known preparations.

The culinary journey extends beyond these three regions. Xinjiang Lamb introduces flavours from northwestern China, while Braised Chinese Greens with Garlic provides a simpler accompaniment.

Rice also receives regional treatment with Yangzhou and Chengdu Fried Rice, offering two distinct interpretations of a familiar Chinese staple.

For dessert, Coconut Sticky Rice with Longans provides a gently sweet finish to the meal.

Diners can also pair their meal with a selection of Chinese teas and infused spirits, curated to complement the flavours of the menu.
