Hyatt Regency Trivandrum has turned up the heat at its Pan-Asian restaurant, The Oriental Kitchen, with one of Kerala’s first Sichuan-style Chinese Hot Pot experiences. The ongoing promotion, “Spice Up Your Lunch with a Chinese Hot Pot,” is curated by Chef Cong Yong Li from Beijing, bringing Trivandrum a taste of China’s most social and flavorful dining tradition.
The centuries-old Hot Pot tradition brings people together around a simmering pot of broth at the center of the table. Guests can choose between two broth options, spicy Sichuan and clear soup and cook a variety of fresh meats, seafood, vegetables, and noodles right at their table, complemented by aromatic dipping sauces.
“Hot Pot is more than just a meal, it’s a shared experience. Everyone gathers around one pot, selecting ingredients, dipping them in sauces, and cooking together. The spicy Sichuan broth brings bold heat, while the clear soup offers a lighter, comforting flavor. It’s food that connects people,” shared Chef Cong Yong Li.
The Hot Pot menu features three curated sets for four guests, vegetarian, meat, and seafood, each offering a complete, balanced, and customizable meal. The promotion is available at The Oriental Kitchen until October 12, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM (lunch only).
With this launch, Hyatt Regency Trivandrum continues to enrich Kerala’s dining scene by introducing immersive global culinary experiences that combine authenticity with warmth.
