Hyatt Place Vadodara, the first Hyatt Place hotel in Gujarat, is set to host the much-anticipated Punjabi food festival, ‘Sweety Da Pind’. This 10-day culinary event, featuring Celebrity Chef Sweety Singh from Delhi, is a first-of-its-kind in Vadodara, promising to offer an authentic Punjabi cuisine experience.
‘Sweety Da Pind’ brings the essence of Punjab to Vadodara this winter. Chef Sweety Singh, renowned for his slow-cooking technique and unique spice blends, will use fresh spices from Delhi and water from Amritsar to prepare his specialty dishes. The festival's menu is a gastronomic delight, featuring both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options like Lal Mirch ka Tandoori Kukkad, Bharwan Khumb, Kukkad Makhan Wala, and Amritsar Kulcha.
Celebrity Chef Sweety Singh, popularly known as the ‘Master of Spices’, is acclaimed for his expertise in traditional Punjabi cuisine. He brings over 30 years of experience to the table, having collaborated with top-tier hotels and served renowned personalities. His cooking style is unique, avoiding the use of cashews, almonds, saffron, or food coloring, focusing instead on delivering robust, healthy, and wholesome Punjabi flavors.
“The people of Gujarat by themselves have a rich culinary heritage that is deep-rooted in their past. It will be challenging and exciting to showcase my culture and passion for Punjabi food to this city and provide them with nothing short of an immersive dining experience. Together with the culinary team at Hyatt Place Vadodara, ‘Sweety Da Pind’ will help redefine the Punjabi food experience – slow-cooked, wholesome, and made with real ghee.” - Sweety Singh
Neha Kapoor, General Manager of Hyatt Place Vadodara, shares the excitement, "We are thrilled to welcome Chef Sweety Singh to our hotel. ‘Sweety Da Pind’ is a landmark event for us, introducing the vibrant flavors of Punjabi cuisine to Vadodara for the first time."
Chef Sweety Singh looks forward to the challenge of presenting his culture and passion for Punjabi food to Vadodara. He aims to provide an immersive dining experience, collaborating with Hyatt Place Vadodara's culinary team to redefine Punjabi cuisine with his signature slow-cooked, ghee-based dishes.
In addition to the food festival, Hyatt Place Vadodara will host an exclusive interactive masterclass with Chef Sweety Singh. Guests can witness his culinary skills and learn the secrets behind his delicious creations.
