Overview

JW Kitchen at JW Marriott Hotel Bengaluru has unveiled Apnu Gujarat, a special culinary pop-up celebrating the rich and diverse food traditions of Gujarat. The experience takes guests beyond popular Gujarati favourites to explore lesser-known recipes that have been preserved through generations across villages, family kitchens, and local communities.

Curated by Chef Poonam Dedhia, whose culinary work focuses on documenting and preserving Gujarat’s regional food heritage, Apnu Gujarat presents a gastronomic journey inspired by the state’s seasons, migration stories, indigenous ingredients, and everyday cooking traditions.

The experience begins with refreshing beverages including Pineapple Phudina nu Sharbat and Kokum-Anar nu Sharbat, setting the stage for a menu that explores Gujarat’s regional flavours. Guests can savour traditional delicacies such as Khambhat na Dabda, Kutchi Dabeli, Makai na Paaniya with Lilo Vaatelo Masalo, and Dakor na Gota.
