JW Marriott Kolkata is all set to transport its guests to Vietnam with an unforgettable two-night culinary and cocktail celebration, in collaboration with Dean With Us. Slated for August 8th and 9th, 2025, the event will bring together the best of Vietnam’s progressive food and beverage scene, featuring renowned names like Chef Nhan Ngo and award-winning bartenders Thep Dinh and Huy Ngo.
This exciting partnership is curated by Dean With Us, the brainchild of Akanksha and Rupali Dean, pioneers in culinary storytelling, F&B event curation, and food writing. Their platform has become synonymous with cross-cultural collaborations, and this Kolkata edition promises to be an immersive, flavorful exchange between Vietnam and India.
At the center of this showcase is Stir - Modern Classic Cocktail, a buzzing Saigon bar that has earned a coveted spot on Asia’s 50 Best Bars list for four consecutive years. Known for its experimental cocktails and layered flavors, Stir is powered by the creative brilliance of Thep Dinh, a World Class Vietnam Champion and co-founder of Savour Cocktail Club. His mixology is a performance in itself, blending tradition with modern techniques to craft drinks that are as poetic as they are punchy.
Chef Nhan Ngo complements this experience with a progressive Vietnamese menu that effortlessly blends authenticity with innovation. From the bold flavors of Saigon street food to the refined tastes of Hoi An and Phu Quoc, his creations reflect a deep-rooted passion for Asian cuisine with subtle Japanese influences.
Adding further finesse is Huy Ngo, Stir’s rising star and Senior Bartender, who has quickly become one of Vietnam’s most talked-about mixologists. Recognized by Tatler and industry veterans, Huy brings both flair and depth to every drink, making the bar experience truly unforgettable.

On August 8th, Vintage Asia will host an exclusive Vietnamese dinner curated by Chef Nhan, paired with original cocktails by Thep Dinh and Huy Ngo, each course bringing a chapter of Vietnam’s culinary journey to life. On August 9th, the spotlight shifts to 2:59 The Bar, where Thep and Huy will take over the bar with their signature cocktails, steeped in Vietnamese personality and bar craftsmanship.
