Kitty Su, India’s most iconic queer nightlife brand, is turning 14, and it’s pulling out all the stops. On its 14th KittyVersary, the nightclub is hosting The Battle Royale at The Crystal Ballroom, The LaLiT New Delhi, promising a night of drag like the country has never seen.
From 9:30 PM onwards this Saturday, India’s most celebrated drag artists will light up the stage in a high-energy lip sync battle judged across artistry, authenticity, stagecraft, and presence. The star lineup includes: Emperor Naaz, Mx Stallion, Dusky Dee, Shivkanya, Legendary Karma, Valentina, Diva Sins, and Krystal Koko.
Adding international flair is DJ Kitty Glitter, the globally renowned drag DJ from Sydney, joined by show-stopping acts from Beyoncé The Drag Queen and Seventeen Sins. The ballroom will be transformed with beats from DJ Triangle Edge and visuals by VJ Viral Web, turning the night into a pulsating celebration of queer culture.
The judging panel brings credibility and charisma with two of India’s most respected queer voices Zeesh and Lush Monsoon who will crown the night’s fiercest talent.
Keshav Suri, Executive Director, The LaLiT Suri Hospitality Group, reflected on the journey, “Kitty Su started as a nightclub—but it became a refuge, a stage, and a movement. ‘The Battle Royale’ is proof that when you bet on love, authenticity, and fierce talent, you don’t just win you make history”.
Echoing the significance, Akshay Tyagi, Head of KSF and DEI, said, “Visibility is power. This event is a historic marker in the journey of queer India—proof that when we create platforms with intention and care, art blooms, and communities heal”.
Aashin Moitra, GM of Kitty Su, added, "The Battle Royale’ is more than a drag competition—it’s a celebration of truth, transformation, and tremendous talent. This is our legacy, amplified".
The LaLiT New Delhi’s GM, Vijay Bhalla, highlighted inclusivity, “True hospitality means embracing everyone, exactly as they are. Hosting ‘The Battle Royale’ is an honour and a reminder of that commitment”.
Amrita Bhadury, Manager – Corporate Marketing & Communications, framed it as storytelling,"The Battle Royale’ is a living, breathing story of pride, resilience, and creative brilliance. Tonight, we celebrate everything extraordinary about India’s queer community”.
As Kitty Su marks 14 bold years of queer nightlife, freedom, and self-expression, The Battle Royale arrives not just as a party but as a cultural coronation.
Venue: The Crystal Ballroom, The LaLiT New Delhi Time: 9:30 PM onwards on 23rd August Tickets: Available on BookMyShow, District by Zomato, Sort My Scene, and Skillbox
