Mumbai is closing the year in true after-hours style. Late Checkout*, one of the city’s boldest and most talked-about cocktail destinations, is hosting its final takeover of 2025 and it’s a global blockbuster. On December 9 and 10, the award-winning Line Bar from Athens, ranked No. 8 on The World’s 50 Best Bars 2025, takes over the bar counter, bringing a wave of European creativity to India’s nightlife scene.

Known for placing Mumbai on the global mixology map through its international collaborations, Late Checkout* adds yet another milestone by welcoming Greece’s most inventive bar.

Leading the takeover is Nikos Bakoulis, co-founder of both The Clumsies and Line, and recognised as one of the Top 100 Most Influential Figures in Drinks International. A pioneer of modern cocktail craft, Bakoulis is celebrated for his experimental thinking and his philosophy called The Method of Anarchy, a mix of curiosity, control, and a touch of beautiful chaos.
His signature approach comes alive in Mumbai with a sensory cocktail menu created specially for the two-day showcase.

Late Checkout* has built a strong reputation for global exchanges, with collaborations ranging from Dear Irving and The Ned Nomad in New York to iconic spaces like Paradiso (Barcelona, #1 on The World’s 50 Best Bars 2022), Origin (Singapore), and Sago House (Singapore). This takeover continues the bar’s tradition of connecting cultures, stories, and flavours through drinks.
