Marriott Executive Apartments Hyderabad is set to begin the new year with a comforting culinary celebration, bringing authentic Maharashtrian flavours to Mazzo with a special dinner pop-up curated by Pune-based home chef Swati Mawlankar. Making her debut appearance at the property, the pop-up offers guests a chance to experience traditional home-style Maharashtrian cuisine in a warm, relaxed setting.
Known in her city for her handmade modaks during Ganesh Chaturthi, Swati Mawlankar brings recipes rooted in family traditions and regional cooking styles from across Maharashtra. The menu reflects everyday comfort food prepared with familiar flavours, slow cooking, and simple techniques that highlight the soul of Maharashtrian kitchens.
The spread begins with classic starters such as crispy sabudana vada, aromatic kothimbir vadi, and batata vada, along with favourites like kachori, bakarwadi, and spicy thecha. These small plates set the tone for a hearty and flavour-packed meal.
Vegetarian highlights include matki usal and bharli vangi, while non-vegetarian offerings feature robust Kolhapuri-style chicken and mutton preparations, along with Konkani prawns. The dishes are complemented with masala bhath and cooling koshimbir raita, creating a balanced and comforting dining experience.
Adding to the homely charm are live counters serving freshly made thalipeeth and pithla bhakri, bringing the feel of a traditional Maharashtrian household meal to the rooftop venue.
No Maharashtrian feast is complete without desserts, and the menu delivers with puran poli, modak, shrikhand with poori, and orange burfi. Popular festive favourites make a special appearance, offering guests a taste of celebration alongside comfort.
This limited-period dinner pop-up at Mazzo, Marriott Executive Apartments Hyderabad, is a short yet flavourful showcase of Maharashtrian cuisine, perfect for diners seeking authentic regional food and nostalgic home-style flavours.
