Marriott Executive Apartments Hyderabad is set to bring the flavours of Southern Italy to the city with Gusto d'Italia, a week-long culinary experience at Mazzo Rooftop Bar from 5 to 11 October 2026.

The experience will feature Chef Alessio Cosma Amodio, Chef at Casa Limone, Renaissance Goa, whose culinary style draws from his Southern Italian roots and professional experiences across Ireland, Indonesia, the Netherlands and India.

For Chef Alessio, his connection with Italian cuisine began at home in Southern Italy. Inspired by his Nonna's cooking and the tradition of fresh, home-style meals, his early fascination with food eventually developed into a professional culinary career.

At Gusto d'Italia, Chef Alessio will draw on those early memories while bringing together influences from his international culinary journey. The menu will focus on flavours and preparations associated with Southern Italian cooking, including slow-cooked meats, hearty stews, spicy pastas and freshly handcrafted pizzas.

The experience is also inspired by the landscapes and food traditions of the Amalfi Coast, reflecting Chef Alessio's connection with the region and its cuisine. Rather than focusing solely on familiar Italian classics, the menu is positioned as an expression of the chef's personal culinary journey and the traditions that have influenced his cooking.

Mazzo Rooftop Bar will provide the setting for the experience, combining its elevated rooftop location with an evening dining format. Guests can enjoy the Italian-inspired menu alongside drinks and the relaxed atmosphere of the rooftop.

Chef Alessio's career has taken him through several international kitchens before bringing him to Goa, where he currently leads the culinary team at Casa Limone, Renaissance Goa. His cooking brings together these global influences while retaining the flavours and traditions of his Southern Italian upbringing.

Through Gusto d'Italia, Marriott Executive Apartments Hyderabad aims to offer diners an opportunity to experience Italian cuisine through the perspective of a chef whose cooking is closely connected to family memories, regional traditions and an international culinary career.
