Marriott Executive Apartments Hyderabad is presenting a curated Andhra culinary showcase at its signature restaurant Mazzo, offering guests a deeper exploration of the region’s food heritage beyond its commonly perceived spice-forward profile.
The festival is curated by celebrated Telugu cuisine expert Chef Meera Girija Tadimeti and is inspired by the traditional philosophy of Shadruchulu, which represents the six fundamental tastes central to Andhra cooking. The showcase highlights how balance, memory and regional identity come together in Telugu cuisine.
The experience features a wide range of traditional preparations, beginning with popular regional starters such as Pesara Punugulu, Cabbage Vada, Chicken Cheekulu and Kobbari Muttilu. These are followed by hearty main-course offerings including Andhra Veg Pulao, Andhra Chicken Pulao, Ragi Sangati and Mamidikaya Pappu, each reflecting rustic home-style cooking traditions.
Signature dishes such as Dosakaya Mutton, Beerakaya Royyalu and Vankaya Kothimeera Karam highlight the depth of Andhra’s culinary repertoire, while traditional accompaniments like Avakaya, Pachi Pulusu, Kobbari Karam and Kandi Podi bring layered, authentic flavours to the table.
The menu concludes with classic Andhra desserts including Kova Bobbatlu and Pakam Garelu, followed by a refreshing glass of Frozen Rose Milk, offering a nostalgic and comforting finish to the meal.
Set within the warm ambience of Mazzo, the showcase invites guests to rediscover traditional recipes and experience the cultural richness embedded in Andhra cuisine. The festival reflects a growing focus on regional Indian culinary storytelling within luxury hospitality spaces.
