Overview

The Indo–Pak border at Nadabet in Gujarat is set to host an immersive Republic Day celebration on January 26, 2026, transforming the border tourism site into a space for public participation, cultural expression, and patriotic observance. The full-day programme is curated and operated by Lallooji & Sons, reinforcing Nadabet’s growing identity as a destination beyond border viewing.

The day will begin with a flag hoisting ceremony led by the Chief Guest, a senior officer from the Border Security Force’s Gujarat Frontier at the level of Inspector General or Deputy Inspector General. This will be followed by the flag-off of a bike rally, marking the formal start of Republic Day activities at the site.

Cultural performances scheduled throughout the day will showcase a mix of regional and national traditions. To encourage visitor participation, the celebrations will include a magic show aimed at engaging younger visitors, an interactive game zone curated by Kreeda Games, and a fancy dress competition designed for families and children attending the event.

Adding to the daytime festivities, a live performance by a professional artist, to be finalised closer to the event, will help sustain visitor engagement and footfall across the border site.

The evening programme will shift focus to one of Nadabet’s most recognised attractions, the ceremonial BSF parade. The parade will highlight the discipline, precision, and traditions of the Border Security Force, underscoring the national importance of the Indo–Pak border.

The celebrations will conclude with Garba performances, bringing a strong Gujarati cultural presence to the occasion and transforming the border setting into a collective space of celebration and pride.

Speaking about the initiative, Vishram Singh, General Manager, Nadabet, operated by Lallooji & Sons, said, “The intent was to make Republic Day at Nadabet accessible and engaging for citizens. The event reflects Nadabet’s evolving role as more than a border viewing point, where national history, cultural identity, and public participation come together.”

Located around 239 kilometres from Ahmedabad, the Nadabet Indo–Pak Border has emerged as a key tourism attraction in Gujarat, drawing visitors interested in patriotic travel experiences and meaningful public engagement
