Novotel Hyderabad Airport is set to welcome the festive season with its annual Grape Stomping & Cake Mixing Brunch at Food Exchange on Sunday, September 20, 2026. The celebration will bring together traditional festive rituals, interactive food experiences, music and a relaxed Sunday brunch.
The event will feature the traditional cake mixing ritual, where guests can take part in combining an assortment of fruits, nuts and spices that form the base of the season’s festive cake. Adding to the experience will be grape stomping, an interactive tradition where guests can step into a vat of grapes and participate in the harvest-inspired celebration.
The brunch will also feature a live Tiramisu workshop, including an impressive four-foot Tiramisu prepared for guests to experience up close and see how the indulgent dessert comes together. The afternoon will further showcase edible frost-painted cakes, bringing together pastry skills and visual creativity.
“Over the years, the Grape Stomping and Cake Mixing brunch has become one of the experiences guests look forward to as the festive season approaches. This year, we wanted to build on that familiarity with a more interactive afternoon, bringing together food, music, and hands-on experiences that make the occasion engaging from start to finish,” said Sukhbir Singh, General Manager, Novotel Hyderabad Airport.
Executive Chef Amanna Raju added, “What makes this brunch exciting is the variety of experiences woven into the afternoon. Guests can try their hand at the DIY experiences, enjoy the music, or simply settle in for a leisurely brunch. It gives everyone the freedom to experience the afternoon in their own way.”
“There is a certain excitement that comes with the first festive celebration of the season. For me, the most rewarding part is seeing guests step into the experience, get involved, and enjoy the occasion beyond what is on their plate. The cake mixing is one part of that larger celebration,” said Pastry Chef Divya Gopannagari.
With traditional cake mixing and grape stomping alongside interactive pastry experiences and a Sunday brunch, the event will mark the beginning of the festive season at Novotel Hyderabad Airport.
