Novotel Mumbai Juhu Beach is all set to bring the coastal charm of Goa to Mumbai with the Goan Food Festival at Bageecha, its open-air restaurant that promises an immersive dining experience filled with spice, flavour, and festivity. Running from 23rd May to 8th June 2025, the festival is a culinary tribute to the sunshine state’s rich gastronomic legacy.
Guests can indulge in a vibrant seafood counter displaying the day’s freshest catch—prawns, crabs, lobster, red snapper, pomfret, and more. Diners get to choose their seafood by weight and pick their favourite Goan style of preparation, such as Recheado, Cafreal, Balchao, or Xacuti, for a personalised and flavourful experience, cooked live to perfection.
The curated menu also includes Goan favourites like Prawn Balchao, Chicken Cafreal, Goan Fish Curry, Sorpotel, and both veg and non-veg versions of Vindaloo. No Goan feast is complete without Poi, the traditional fermented whole wheat bread, best enjoyed with rich gravies, chutneys, and pickles. End the meal on a sweet note with iconic desserts such as Bebinca and Dodol.
Adding to the authenticity, guests can experience traditional Goan bread-making and sip on specially crafted beverages including feni-based cocktails, kokum mocktails, and wines that pair beautifully with the bold flavours of Goan cuisine.
The ambience at Bageecha is designed to reflect Goa’s rustic charm, with décor elements like seashells, fishing nets, and wooden accents. The dining experience is further elevated by live Goan folk music and fado-inspired acoustic performances, making it a complete coastal celebration under the stars.
