Designed for guests observing the Navratri fasting period, the menu offers a selection of snacks, main-course dishes, accompaniments and desserts. Priced at ₹1,295 plus applicable taxes, the thali focuses on familiar flavours and traditional ingredients associated with festive dining.
The meal begins with a selection of light bites, including Phool Makhana roasted in ghee, Shakarkandi Chaat seasoned with coriander, lemon and salt, and Saboodana Vada prepared with ginger, sendha namak and black pepper. A glass of refreshing lassi completes the opening course.
The main course features a range of traditional Navratri preparations, including Saboodana Khichdi, Vratwale Rassedar Aloo, Masala Arbi and Khatta Meetha Kaddoo. The spread also includes Samak Rice Pulao, served with Kuttuke Atte ki Poori, bringing together familiar dishes associated with festive fasting.
For dessert, guests can enjoy fresh-cut fruits and Lauki ka Halwa, slow-cooked in milk and finished with dry fruits.
Speaking about the special menu, Chef Umesh Singh, Executive Chef at Novotel New Delhi City Centre, said, “Navratri is a time when food becomes an important part of the festive experience. With this thali, we wanted to keep things familiar, comforting and flavourful, while bringing together some of the dishes our guests traditionally look forward to during the season.”
