Novotel Visakhapatnam Varun Beach has announced a 12-day Thai Food Festival at its Pan Asian restaurant Red Bowl, bringing authentic Thai cuisine to the city’s waterfront dining scene.
The festival will run from 1st to 12th July 2026 and aims to offer guests an immersive culinary journey through Thailand’s rich and diverse flavours, ranging from fragrant curries and tangy soups to spicy salads and traditional desserts.
Adding authenticity to the experience, Chef Penpak Panjampee, popularly known as Chef Vina, has been invited from Thailand to curate the festival menu. Known for showcasing Thai culinary traditions at international food events, she brings a focus on balance, freshness, and bold flavour profiles.
The specially curated menu features signature Thai dishes such as Tom Yum Soup, Som Tam (raw papaya salad), Pad Thai noodles, and Mango Sticky Rice. Guests can also explore regional Thai specialities prepared using traditional techniques and carefully selected ingredients to highlight the cuisine’s characteristic sweet, sour, salty, and spicy balance.
Speaking on the festival, Lakshmi Sridhar, General Manager of Novotel Visakhapatnam Varun Beach, said the initiative reflects the growing appetite for global cuisines in Vizag. She added that the collaboration with Chef Vina allows guests to experience authentic Thai flavours while enjoying the scenic backdrop of the Bay of Bengal.
The festival is designed for food enthusiasts, families, and diners looking to explore international cuisine, offering both lunch and dinner service throughout its duration at Red Bowl – Pan Asian Kitchen.
With this initiative, Novotel Visakhapatnam continues to strengthen its culinary offerings, positioning itself as a destination for global dining experiences along the coast.
