THE Park Chennai is set to host an unforgettable cross-cultural bar experience as The Leather Bar and Lotus come together for ‘ONE NIGHT IN BANGKOK’, an exclusive international bar takeover showcasing the inventive artistry of Suchada “Fahbeer” Sopajaree, one of Asia’s most celebrated mixologists. Taking place on December 12th and 13th, the event marks a rare opportunity for Chennai’s cocktail lovers to experience a world-class mixologist whose work combines street culture, sustainability, and imaginative storytelling.

Fahbeer, widely recognised on several prestigious Best Bartender lists across Asia, is the creative force behind Lost in Thaislation, her acclaimed Bangkok bar. She has built her reputation by transforming Bangkok’s lively street food scene into innovative cocktail expressions and by redefining how food and beverage inspiration can flow both ways,  often turning bar concepts into playful food creations. At ‘ONE NIGHT IN BANGKOK,’ she brings this boundary-pushing philosophy to THE Park Chennai’s iconic venues: The Leather Bar and Lotus.

For over two decades, these two destinations have shaped Chennai’s dining and nightlife culture. The Leather Bar has long been known for its trailblazing events, pulsating atmosphere, and inventive cocktail programmes, while Lotus, the award-winning Pan-Asian restaurant has been a benchmark of refined Asian dining in the city for 23 years. Together, their combined legacy of innovation and cultural influence sets the perfect stage for this international collaboration.

Beyond her creative flair, Fahbeer is also known for her strong commitment to sustainability. Formerly the flame-haired frontwoman of #FindTheLockerRoom, she went on to co-found Wasteland, Thailand’s first fully sustainable bar, alongside Kitibordee “Gov” Chortubtim and Dharath “Tot” Hoonchamlong. Wasteland is designed as a “community sipping space,” where ingredients often regarded as waste are transformed into flavour-rich components through meticulous research and thoughtful processes. This shift in perspective, supported by strict hygiene standards and deep experimentation,  has positioned Fahbeer as a leading voice in zero-waste mixology across Asia.

Her philosophy is rooted in accessibility and storytelling. Fahbeer aims to create cocktails that are simple, meaningful, and inspiring, encouraging both bartenders and guests to rethink waste and embrace sustainability in creative ways. Combined with her playful personality, unconventional style, and deeply cultural approach, she has established herself as one of Asia’s most exciting and inventive mixologists. Today, as the Owner–Chief Bartender of Lost in Thaislation, she continues to push boundaries through a blend of cultural nostalgia, street-level influences, and sustainable craft.
