Raffles is bringing the festive spirit alive in Cambodia this year with a heartwarming mix of Christmas and New Year celebrations across its two iconic hotels, Raffles Grand Hotel d’Angkor in Siem Reap and Raffles Hotel Le Royal in Phnom Penh. Both hotels have put together a month-long line-up that blends the brand’s timeless charm with fun experiences, grand dining and joyful traditions.

The celebrations began on November 28 with the hotel’s classic Christmas tree lighting ceremony, where guests and locals gathered for music, carols and the much-awaited lighting moment.

Now in its 93rd year, the hotel has transformed into a charming Hansel and Gretel-inspired setting. From sparkling décor and evergreen wreaths to a life-size gingerbread house in the lobby, the property brings alive the feeling of walking through a fairytale.

All through December, the hotel is hosting special experiences for families and holiday lovers. Kids can join pastry chefs for a gingerbread-making class on December 13. On December 18, a new art collection inspired by Khmer royalty will be unveiled with a small evening event featuring gin tasting, an artist meet-and-greet and a canapé reception.

Guests can also enjoy daily festive afternoon tea, the Children’s Choir performance on December 21 and a relaxing Holiday Ritual at the Raffles Spa that includes a refreshing body polish and a Traditional Swedish Massage.

Dining is a major highlight this season. Executive Sous Chef Dorn Doeurt will serve a festive seven-course tasting menu at 1932 on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, while Café d’Angkor offers a four-course holiday menu and a lavish Christmas Day brunch with jazz, roasted turkey, ham and optional free-flow drinks.

The New Year’s Eve poolside party promises to be one of Siem Reap’s biggest celebrations, complete with gourmet food, a show by Phare Circus and a grand fireworks display.

Raffles Hotel Le Royal, celebrating 96 years of heritage, has curated a festive schedule filled with hands-on workshops, elegant dining and cheerful gatherings.

The festivities begin with creative workshops at Le Phnom 1929, where guests make personalised cards, labels and decorations on December 7. A floral design workshop helps guests prepare beautiful arrangements, and gingerbread decorating sessions keep the young ones busy on December 14 and 21. The Writers Bar will host a cosy festive afternoon tea with live carols on December 21.

Through December (except December 25), Le Phnom 1929 will serve a classic three-course festive lunch. On Christmas Eve, guests can choose between a lavish buffet with free-flow drinks or a refined five-course dinner at Restaurant Le Royal.

Christmas Day at Hotel Le Royal features a grand lobby brunch with seafood, live carving stations, cheeses, desserts and a children’s choir. The evening brings an indulgent buffet with oysters, premium seafood, roasted lamb, foie gras and festive sweets.

New Year’s Eve offers multiple options, a fine five-course dinner at Restaurant Le Royal, a festive buffet at Le Phnom 1929 and a high-energy Countdown Party at Empress Room with a live DJ, Champagne and gourmet bites.

The hotel’s Magical Festive Escape stay package is valid till January 31, 2026 and includes Champagne breakfast, a 60-minute spa treatment for two, daily afternoon tea, room upgrades and flexible check-in/check-out.
