Overview

The much-awaited Rann Utsav 2025 begins today, 23 October 2025, and will continue until 4 March 2026, offering travellers an enriched experience of Kutch. Organised by Evoke Experiences, the festival expands its focus beyond the iconic White Rann to include Dholavira, the UNESCO World Heritage Site representing the ancient Indus Valley civilisation. This year’s theme, “Adhura Nahi Pura Kutch Dekhiye”, encourages visitors to explore the region in its entirety rather than limiting their journey to the Rann alone.

Evoke Experiences will manage Rann Utsav – The Tent City and promote Dholavira through curated experiences at the White Rann Tent City at Dholavira and the year-round Evoke Dholavira property. Travellers can combine the cultural vibrancy of Dhordo with the historical depth of Dholavira for a comprehensive view of Kutch’s landscape and legacy.

The White Rann Tent City at Dholavira offers family-friendly recreational activities, including cricket, trampolines, bungy trampoline, bull rides, moonwalker bouncy setups, water rollers, archery, air gun shooting, and high rope courses. Built on a Harappan civilisation theme, all rooms and common areas reflect elements of the Indus Valley era. Nearby attractions include the fossil park, excavation sites, a museum, and the famed “Road through Heaven.” Guests can also enjoy spa services, bicycle rides, and stargazing under the vast desert sky.

At Rann Utsav – The Tent City, enhancements include a toddler area, an open-air cinema, and a sustainability stall showcasing eco-friendly practices such as waste segregation and recycling. Storytelling sessions with bonfires will engage visitors with local folklore, deepening cultural immersion.

A new personalised service called Mitram will guide guests throughout their stay, facilitating activities, experiences, and logistics for a seamless, curated journey.

“Rann Utsav has always been about more than the White Desert, it’s about the stories, traditions, and heritage that make Kutch unique. With Dholavira now part of the festival under the theme ‘Adhura Nahi Pura Kutch Dekhiye’, we are encouraging travellers to experience Kutch in its entirety. From vibrant cultural celebrations in Dhordo to the archaeological depth of Dholavira, this season offers a complete journey through time, landscape, and legacy,” said Bhavik Sheth, COO of Evoke Experiences.

Sustainability remains a key focus, with eco-friendly tents, improved waste management, LED lighting, plastic crusher installations, and cleanliness drives implemented across festival areas. By integrating Dholavira, Evoke Experiences aims to redefine how travellers explore Kutch, showcasing the region’s cultural, natural, and historical layers in a single, immersive journey.
