RASANAI is bringing the flavours and spirit of Hyderabad’s Old City to South India with the launch of the Charminar Street Food Festival, a curated culinary celebration that highlights the city’s rich food heritage. The festival will be held from 14th to 31st May 2026 across RASANAI outlets in Chennai, Coimbatore, and Kochi.
Inspired by the lively streets around the iconic Charminar, the festival recreates the essence of Hyderabad’s vibrant late-night food culture. From Irani cafés to Ramzan bazaars and age-old family recipes, the experience is designed to reflect food that is bold, smoky, and deeply rooted in tradition.
The menu draws from Hyderabad’s unique culinary evolution shaped by Arabic, Persian, Deccani, and Telugu influences. It brings together a mix of nostalgic flavours and modern presentation, offering guests an immersive dining experience that blends heritage with a contemporary touch.
Guests can look forward to a specially curated selection of dishes that capture the soul of Hyderabad’s street food scene. Key highlights include the rich Mutton Shami Vada, creative Haleem Phyllos, aromatic Chitti Muthiyalu Royyala Pulao, spicy Loose Chicken, and the flavourful Mokkajonna Vellulli Kaaram.
The dessert menu continues the journey through Hyderabad’s culinary heritage with indulgent choices such as Shahdood Malai, traditional Sheermal, and Puttagodugu Palakura Igru, each adding depth to the festival’s nostalgic food storytelling.
Overall, the Charminar Street Food Festival celebrates Hyderabad’s Old City flavours through a smoky, festive, and nostalgic culinary experience. It brings the charm of Charminar’s food lanes into a curated dining format, allowing guests to enjoy heritage-rich dishes in a vibrant and social setting.
