The Leela Gandhinagar, known for redefining luxury and elegance in the twin cities of Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar, is hosting the “Street Foods of India Festival” at its signature restaurant, The Citrus Junction. Running from October 17 to 27 during dinner hours, the festival celebrates the country’s most loved street flavours, recreated with authenticity, flair, and a touch of The Leela’s signature sophistication.
Guests can look forward to a delicious lineup of regional favourites, from West Bengal’s puchka, kathi rolls, and jhal muri, to Karnataka’s masala dosa, Mysore bonda, and goli bajji. The spread continues with Maharashtra’s vada pav and misal pav, Gujarat’s dhokla and fafda-jalebi, and Kerala’s pazham pori and banana chips. Popular delights from Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Delhi, and Bihar add even more variety, featuring everything from Banarasi kachori and Amritsari kulcha to litti chokha and khaja.
To complete the experience, guests can sip on traditional Indian beverages such as jal jeera, masala chaas, aam panna, chai, and thandai, rounding off each meal with a refreshing touch.
“The Street Foods of India Festival is a tribute to the flavours that define our nation,” said Vikas Sood, General Manager, The Leela Gandhinagar. “We are delighted to bring the authenticity, aroma, and joy of India’s street food culture to our guests in a luxurious and lively setting.”
The restaurant has been transformed into a colourful street bazaar, adorned with festive drapes, fairy lights, clay pots, and lively décor. Guests can soak in the nostalgic vibe with folk and Bollywood tunes, enjoy live cooking sessions, take part in pani puri challenges, and win special giveaways for couples.
For those who want to relive India’s bustling street food experience in an elevated, elegant setting, the Street Foods of India Festival at The Leela Gandhinagar is an experience not to be missed.
