Sayaji Kolhapur is bringing the spirit of Bavaria to the city with Oktoberfest at Moon Tree Café, inviting guests to experience German cuisine, craft beer, live music and festive Bavarian hospitality from 19 September to 4 October 2026.

Inspired by the world's renowned Bavarian folk festival, the celebration at Moon Tree Café will recreate the atmosphere of Oktoberfest through themed décor, traditional food and live entertainment, offering guests an opportunity to experience the festival's distinctive culture and camaraderie in Kolhapur.

Originating in Munich in 1810 as a celebration of the marriage of Crown Prince Ludwig and Princess Therese of Saxe-Hildburghausen, Oktoberfest has evolved into a globally recognised celebration associated with Bavarian food, beer, music and community.

For the Kolhapur edition, Moon Tree Café will be transformed into a vibrant Bavarian-inspired setting. Beer barrels, themed tableware, hanging drapes, posters and cut-outs will create a festive atmosphere inspired by Munich's Theresienwiese, the traditional home of Oktoberfest.

Adding to the experience, service associates will be dressed in Bavarian-themed attire, while live singing throughout the festival will create an energetic dining environment for guests.

The specially curated menu will feature a selection of German and Bavarian-inspired preparations, including Pretzels, Bratwurst, Sauerkraut, Kartoffel Salat, Bavarian Chspieß Skewers, Chicken Jambonette and Almond Horseshoe. The food will be paired with craft beer, bringing together traditional flavours and the convivial spirit associated with Oktoberfest.

The celebration will run from 19 September to 4 October 2026 during the dinner session at Moon Tree Café, Sayaji Kolhapur.
