Zega at Sheraton Hyderabad Hotel is set to bring the flavours of Malaysia to Hyderabad with Flavours of Malaysia, a limited-time guest chef series featuring Malaysian chef Fitri on September 26 and 27, 2026.

With 15 years of culinary experience, Chef Fitri brings a deep connection to Malaysian cuisine shaped by his early years in Kuala Lumpur. Growing up in the city's bustling neighbourhoods, he helped his family sell Nasi Lemak, gaining an early understanding of wok cooking and the flavours that form the foundation of Malaysian cuisine.

His culinary style has also been influenced by his mother and grandmother, whose home-cooked recipes continue to shape his approach to food.

A Taste of Malaysian Food Culture

At Zega, Chef Fitri will present a selection of Malaysian favourites showcasing the diversity of the country's culinary traditions.

The menu will feature Nasi Lemak, Royal Rendang, Gado Gado, Laksa, Ayam Penyet, Char Kway Teow, Jackfruit Rendang, Udang Masak Lemak Cili Api, Ikan Bakar, Ayam Percik and Satay.

The selection will also include Mee Udang Johor, Sambal Sotong, Pandan Sri Muka and Onde Onde, offering diners a broad introduction to Malaysian flavours across appetisers, mains and desserts.

Chef Fitri's cooking brings together fragrant herbs and spices, smoky grilled preparations, rich sauces and regional flavours. His approach reflects his belief that Malaysian cuisine is closely connected to community, tradition and the joy of sharing food.
