A passionate foodie and chronicler of Coorg’s culinary traditions, Sitara brings an authentic menu filled with recipes handed down through generations. The event, scheduled for March 7th and 8th, 2025, offers a rare opportunity to experience traditional Coorg flavors in the heart of Bangalore.

Coorg cuisine is renowned for its unique ingredients and cooking methods, with Kachampuli standing out as a key component. Made from the Garcinia Gummi-Gutta fruit, this vinegar extract is essential to Kodava flavors. "The process of making Kachampuli is laborious, and just a tiny bit of it transforms a dish, giving it a distinct flavor unlike any other," Sitara explains.

  • Noolputtu: Delicate steamed rice noodles, a classic accompaniment to Kodava meals.

  • Khus Khus Payasa: A comforting cold poppy seed rice porridge, perfect for ending the meal on a sweet note.

"The base of each dish remains authentic, with coconut paste, a tempering of clove and cinnamon, and lots of cardamom in the ghee rice and pulaos," Sitara notes. Guests can expect a homely and intimate dining experience, as all dishes will be lovingly prepared by Sitara and her family.
