The LaLiT Chandigarh is set to celebrate the rich culinary heritage of Kashmir with Baluchi-ae-Wazwan, an exclusive Kashmiri food festival hosted at its signature Indian fine-dining restaurant, Baluchi. The festival will run from 28th January to 10th February 2026, offering guests an immersive journey into one of India’s most revered culinary traditions.
Wazwan, deeply rooted in centuries-old Kashmiri culture, is more than just a cuisine. It is a ceremonial expression of craftsmanship, hospitality and tradition. Through Baluchi-ae-Wazwan, The LaLiT Chandigarh brings this timeless culinary art to the city, featuring both traditional Wazwan preparations and a thoughtfully curated à-la-carte Kashmiri menu.
For this special showcase, master chefs have been specially flown in from Kashmir, bringing with them generations of culinary knowledge and an unwavering commitment to authenticity. The menu highlights iconic dishes such as Tabak Maaz, Rogan Josh, Rista, Gushtaba, Nadru ka Korma, Daniwal Korma and Lal Paneer, along with several other classic and signature preparations that reflect the depth and soul of Kashmiri cuisine.
Available for both lunch and dinner, the festival promises a refined dining experience that balances robust flavours with delicate spicing, a hallmark of Kashmiri gastronomy. Enhancing the experience further, dinner services will feature live ghazals, creating an atmosphere where music, tradition and flavours blend seamlessly.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Rohit Kapoor, General Manager, The LaLiT Chandigarh, said, “At Baluchi, we have always celebrated the diversity and richness of India’s culinary heritage. With Baluchi-ae-Wazwan, our endeavour is to present an experience that is deeply authentic, culturally immersive, and true to the spirit of Kashmir. By bringing chefs directly from the valley and pairing their cuisine with soulful ghazals, we aim to offer our guests a journey that engages all the senses.”
Baluchi-ae-Wazwan reinforces The LaLiT Chandigarh’s commitment to curating meaningful culinary experiences that honour tradition while delivering refined hospitality.
