As the City of Joy prepares to welcome the grandeur of Durga Puja, The LaLiT Great Eastern Kolkata is all set to elevate the festive spirit with an array of experiences that combine heritage, culinary excellence, music, and entertainment. Once hailed as the “Jewel of the East,” the iconic hotel is presenting a spectacular line-up of offerings designed to capture the true essence of Bengal’s biggest festival.

At the heart of the celebrations is the much-awaited Sharodiya Mohabhoj at Alfresco, a grand buffet curated by Executive Chef Sunayan Pramanik. The menu is a tribute to Bengal’s rich culinary legacy, blending traditional recipes with modern interpretations. Guests can indulge in dishes such as Fulkopi Korai Sutir Singara, Chingri’r Chorchori, Nowabi Mangsher Rosa, Doi Rui, Metiaburz Murgi’r Rezalla, and vegetarian delights like Channar Malai Curry and Potol’r Dorma. The lavish spread concludes with an eclectic dessert selection, featuring Malpua Lasagne, Gurer Soufflé, Rosomalai, and Nolen Gurer Baked Yoghurt.

The Sharodiya Mohabhoj lunch and dinner buffets will be served from September 28 to October 2, 2025, a special midnight buffet will be available between September 28 and October 1, 2025.

Beyond the culinary experiences, the hotel has lined up vibrant entertainment. On September 30, the Disco Dandiya Nights will light up The Great Ballroom, blending traditional dandiya beats with a contemporary party vibe. On October 1, the much-awaited Navami Party #PureLove by Kitty Su (Pop-Up) will take center stage, featuring electrifying performances by DJ Triangle Edge, DJ Manish, and more.
