The Park Navi Mumbai is set to host Dakshin Utsav, a specially curated South Indian food festival that celebrates the rich culinary traditions of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Chennai, and the Udupi region. The festival will run from 10th to 13th June 2026, offering guests an immersive journey through some of India’s most diverse regional cuisines.
Designed as a tribute to Southern India’s food heritage, the festival brings together time-honoured recipes, coastal specialties, aromatic curries, and traditional desserts under one curated dining experience. The focus remains on authenticity, regional storytelling, and live culinary engagement.
Guests will be able to experience interactive live cooking stations featuring freshly prepared dishes such as Mangalore Bun with Kurma Curry, dosas, appams, and tawa puttu paratha. These stations aim to recreate the familiar flavours of South Indian kitchens while offering a fresh, chef-led presentation.
The menu highlights an extensive spread of regional specialities, including Udupi Sambar, Kerala-style Sambar, Kirai Masiyal, Gongura Pappu, Urulai Poriyal, Madras-style Mutton Curry, Chicken Gassi, Mutton Gassi, Chettinad Mutton Sukka, Chicken Kurma, Malabar Fish Curry, Alappuzha Fish Curry, and Podi Roasted Fish. Each dish reflects the distinct culinary identity of its region of origin.
The festival also features a curated selection of rice-based preparations and biryanis such as Ambur Biryani, Hyderabadi Chicken Biryani, and Udupi-style Vegetable Pulao, prepared using traditional spice blends and cooking methods.
To conclude the experience, guests can explore a dessert section featuring a variety of payasams, coconut-based sweets, date-infused desserts, and modern interpretations inspired by South Indian flavours.
According to Rahul Makhija, General Manager of The Park Navi Mumbai, the festival is designed to go beyond food by showcasing the warmth, hospitality, and cultural depth of Southern India. He noted that Dakshin Utsav aims to create a complete sensory experience through carefully curated dishes, live stations, and regional authenticity.
With its focus on culinary storytelling and immersive dining, Dakshin Utsav positions The Park Navi Mumbai as a destination for culturally driven food festivals in the city.
